Temperatures are going to skyrocket this week here in the east! Philadelphia is gearing up for at least two days in the 60s with a third falling just short of that mark. The normal high for this time of year is 47 degrees. So we’re looking at temperatures between 15 and 20 degrees above average. As of today, this ranks as the 21st warmest February in recorded history in the city of brotherly love (records go back to the late 1880s). I’m wondering if we can break the top ten by the end of the month. The ridge will briefly pull back Thursday and Friday as we cool down into the 40s again. But then it reemerges next week and another big warmup arrives!
If you think this week looks warm, look at the following week!
